Bilti Electric breaks ground for Rs. 400 cr. E-3W and Li-ion battery pack manufacturing plant

Bilti Electric, a California-based electric vehicle and EV equipment manufacturing company held the groundbreaking ceremony of its Rs. 400 crore electric three-wheeler and advanced lithium-ion battery pack manufacturing facility in Velimela, Hyderabad.

Jennifer Larson, Consul General of USA, Hyderabad laid the foundation stone at the ceremony in the presence of Gopalakrishnan VC, Director of Automotive and EV, Govt. of Telangana, and Raja Gayam, CEO, Biliti Electric. The new manufacturing plant is expected to produce 2,000 electric three-wheelers monthly once its fully operational.

Larson congratulated Bilti Electric for setting the groundwork for the next phase of its factory expansion in India. She also lauded the company's newly established business partnerships with prominent US companies like GoBolt and FreshDirect.

Founded in 2021, Bilti Electric has been working towards transforming urban logistics and building a sustainable last-mile delivery ecosystem.

Biliti's Taskman (compact EV) has been tested by e-commerce and last-mile delivery giants such as Amazon, Walmart, IKEA, SokoWatch, BigBasket, Zomato, and several others in the US, UK, EU, India, Japan, Middle East, and Africa.

The e-mobility startup exports e-3Ws to more than 10 countries in the world and has a vision to electrify last-mile mobility globally with its scalable and low-cost mobility solutions.
