L&T awards wireless wiring monitoring boxes contract to VNT for NEOM

Gurugram-based Vrinda Nano Technologies (VNT) has recently signed a contract with Larsen & Toubro (L&T) for the supply of wireless string monitoring boxes for the world's largest utility-scale green hydrogen complex located at Oxagon, in Saudi Arabia's region of NEOM. 

It is to be noted that Larsen & Toubro has been awarded the engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) contract by NEOM developers to construct a 2.2 GWac PV solar plant, a 1.65 GW wind generation balance plant, and a 400 MWh battery energy storage system under the Power Elements package in the NEOM complex. 

The NEOM Green Hydrogen Company (NGHC), a JV between ACWA Power, Air Products and NEOM, aims to produce carbon-free hydrogen using solely renewable wind and solar power to produce up to 600 tonnes of green hydrogen per day by the end of 2026.

Commenting on VNT bagging the contract for wireless string monitoring boxes from L&T, the company's MD Dr. Vikas Almadi and Rahul Sharma, CEO and Director, expressed their delight. "It is an honor and a proud moment for us to participate in the world's biggest green Hydrogen Mission with state-of-the-art technology fully developed and manufactured in India", they said. 

"The SMBs provided to NEOM are all-weather products and can work seamlessly during sand storms. Its inbuilt redundant wireless networking capabilities will enable the developers to monitor the power plant effortlessly to the string level", added the executives.
