IESW 2024 - India's flagship energy storage event - kicks off in Delhi

The India Energy Storage Alliance on Monday kicked-off the industry's flagship event, a week-long program consisting of product expo, seminars, panel discussions and roundtables to serve as a platform for India's growing energy sector.

Among the highlights of the India Energy Storage Week 2024: the debut of four major products.

• Nash Energy will showcase its indigenously produced Lithium-Ion battery -- an LFP cylindrical cell of the 32140 format manufactured in Karnataka.
• A new 20 feet (containerized) battery energy storage system with a specialized solvent extractant chemical for the recovery of Cobalt
• Isothermal Air Compression and expansion tech for long-duration energy storage and
• Composite overwrapped pressure vessel for green hydrogen storage

The event also serves as a platform for major announcements in the energy storage and related sectors. This year: 

• Singapore-headquartered VFlowTech, a a pioneer of Vanadium and Redox batteries, will announce the largest long-duration energy storage manufacturing facility at Palwal, Haryana
• BatX Energies will announce the start of its battery recycling and materials extraction facility HUB-1, which uses a patented, indigenously designed material extraction plant that can handle all battery chemistries.
• Lohum is announcing to plans to enter next-gen 'Manganese-rich' lithium-ion battery technology manufacturing. The company has roped in ex-Tesla veteran Chaitanya Sharma to help in the process.
• IESW 2024 will also serve as a platform for the announcement of many memoranda of understanding (MoUs), including ones with international partners from Australia and Norway
